NYC is full of amazing places to dine and I've had the opportunity of visiting just a handful.
I do suggest Balthazar for a traditional bistro lunch. It's crowded and very noisy, but the atmosphere is really interesting. If you are a people person, this is the place for you.

There is also a group of amazing french restaurants in NYC. They are all owned by Mr. Daniel Bouloud. Some of them are a little on the pricy side, but well worth it.

I found that Bar Bouloud has a great NY atmosphere. It's trendy, but not too much. The pulled rabbit is to die for. It is not very expensive and the wine selection is very very good.
NYC also has an amazing array of chocolate stores. I would dedicate a day to this little tour. Don't go on a budget or you won't be able to enjoy this feast for the soul. I do believe that eating good chocolate is good for the soul.

Neuhaus Chocolatier

Pierre Marcolini
There are many more which are worth your time and stomach, but Pierre Marcolini just stole my heart, and it's worth every single penny. So, my dear NYC lover live, laugh, and eat well!!
Santé!!
